Hello beauties,
If you follow my blog I’m sure you’ll know by now that I grew up on a small Island in the Outer Hebrides. So I wanted to do a post that everyone who grew up in the Islands will relate to. Or if you didn’t you can get a wee glimpse into our life. Enjoy…

As per usual long time no post. To say my life has been crazy busy is an understatement. But I’m not complaining, I’m loving absolutely every second of it all!! Even now I only have 3 weekends free of plans until next year, so I’m pretty sure the weeks will fly in!
Anyways my most recent and exciting thing to keep me busy was my trip to Cyprus.
I just got back early Monday morning and can say a week in the sun with plenty of chilled out time was needed!

Who said you can’t be a tourist in your own stomping ground?
When I headed back home for my Summer holiday I decided I wanted to make the most of my time there. You really don’t appreciate home as much as once its too late and you need to adult and move away…
So apart from HEBCELT which I have a post on here, this is what I got up to in my travels around The Isle of Lewis.

Okay so this is a super exciting post! If you are looking for something fun/ different to do I suggest you keep reading to hear about my trip to the Glencoe Mountains for a Drive In Movie…
Harry Potter And The Philosophers Stone
So a couple of weekends ago my friend and I road-tripped up to the mountains to experience our first (but now deffo not last) drive-in movie! As she lives in Edinburgh and I stay in Glasgow it made sense for her to drive through on Friday night and stay with me so we could set off bright and early on our journey.

| Festival Feels | Hebcelt ~ Isle of Lewis
As per usual, my lack of consistency with blog post strikes again.
But for very good reason, I’ve been back home to the Outer Hebrides for a huge occasion, my big sisters wedding!!
Anyways the first stop on my journey home was a trip to the most northern isle in the outer hebrides to attend HEB CELT. This is an annual music festival that is held in the castle grounds from Thursday-Sunday. It’s filled with fun, food and music. What more can you ask for. Its iconic setting also makes it – the castle in the background and overlooking the harbour.
This year I knew I had to return for the first time in four years as the line up in my opinion was perfection. Trail West, Tide Lines, Skipinnish, Deacon Blue and The Fratellis to name a few.

| Travel | South Uist ~ Outer Hebrides…
My first piece in my travel collection. How exciting!! I thought I would start with one close to my heart. So where else, but my childhood home.
I was super fortunate to grow up in a beautiful, friendly, safe and small Island on the edge of Scotland, way up in the North West. It is not the easiest of places to get to, in fact you are probably cheaper to fly away somewhere nice and hot for the weekend than I am to fly back home. Heartbreaking.
I’m not being biased when I say this, but I honestly believe that if you are a fan of Scotland and all the natural beauty it contains a trip through the Western Isles is a must! I managed within the first year of being with my boyfriend to take him a tour of each island contained in the Western Isles bar one. But this will be rectified in next summers visit home!!
