Hello lovelies,
Soo what beats a Saturday Brunch with a Gal pal and some vino… answer – nothing. A couple weekends ago I finally got round to visiting Cognito on the Corner and it totally did not disappoint. In fact I 100% will be rushing back. Mainly to try out their cocktail menu. But also the food was pretty great too.

What do you do when you get a new hair cut…?
Head out for a Saturday lunch to celebrate it. That’s what!
Ciaran and I can finally say we have ticked Babs off our “Places that are a MUST try” list.
We have been so excited all week (the health kick being a contributing factor). And I would be lying if I said I wasn’t sat at work on Wednesday lunch time checking out the menu and dreaming of all my maybes and musts haves…
And it was definitely worth the wait!

| Six By Nico | The Forest
Last month Ciaran and I decided to treat ourselves to a Sunday date night and as usual head to our current favourite restaurant… Six By Nico.
I’m a bit late in getting round to posting this! By the time my post is live they will no longer be serving this theme, but I thought why not share it anyways!
As per the food and service was fab!
So without further ado let me introduce you to the last Six By Nico theme…

| Boozy Bits | Wine Cocktail
The first weekend in November my Other Half and I took a trip up to the North East of Scotland to visit his family. It was a fun filled long weekend consisting of plenty walks, food and of course booze…
While we were there my boyfriend put his cocktail making skills to the test. And he came up with a couple drinks to suit both mine and his aunties tastes.
His auntie is not much of a cocktail drinker as she only likes wine. But, this was just a fun little challenge for my partner as he rattled off a wine cocktail recipe he made up on the spot!
If you want a sneaky wee peek at what this contains and how to make, keep reading…
| Food | SixByNico ~ Illusion
My second foodie blog post. And this one, once again, is all about Six By Nico…
I know what you’re thinking, a bit of a reoccurring theme here, but honestly I cannot fault the place! It’s fine dining at such an affordable price. The atmosphere is perfect. The service is top class. And the work put behind each change in menu theme is ingenious.
This visit the theme is Illusion. Which as my boyfriends mum described, has a very Heston Blumenthal vibe to it.
For an extra £25 each we also added the wine flight which is perfectly matched to compliment each dish.
I’m not going to lie, I struggled to keep up! Which is why when the accompaniment to course 4/6 was a beer I happily passed this over to my other half!

Saturday 12th August
Today we ventured out towards Finnieston to finally experience the greatness that is SIX BY NICO. This is not your regular restaurant with its seasonal menu, no, Six by Nico has a themed menu which lasts 6 weeks and is then gone and replaced with a completely new theme all over again! Fab, right?!
And we had the pleasure of trying ROUTE 66…
