Hello Loves,
Welcome back to my new wee monthly round up of things I’ve been up to and things I’ve been loving. So time for the June Edition…
What Have I Been Watching
June has been a fab comeback month for a LOT of my favourite series’! Handmaids tale – love, Killing Eve – obsessed annnd Love Island – guilty pleasure…
I also binged the whole third season of The Office US and if that isn’t your kind of humour, then sadly you are missing out.
Film wise this past month I’ve been watching a lot of psychological horrors. To name just a couple Would You Rather annd I finally watched Split, which James Mcavoy is unreal in!
What Have I Been Up To
The first weekend in June was super fun with a last minute Girls long weekend trip to Amsterdam. My best pal had tickets for us to see Maroon 5 at the Ziggo Dome, so we made a long weekend trip out of it. You can see a quick wee post here.
Last weekend I took a trip back down to Glasgow as one of my school friends was throwing a dinner party, he seriously doesn’t do things in halves. I knew it would be unmissable and I was totally right! When all 11 of us finally made our way to our seats round the table, he stood up and made the most dramatic speech about how this was actually a Murder Mystery Night. I have never had such a laugh with such a great group of people. The food was fab and the fizz was flowing all night! I also caught up with another friend before heading back up the road to Abz… I was V hungover and probably not the best company.
Other than that my months been nice and quite. Work has been kicking my butt so quiet weeknights cosy in my flat have been needed! Excitingly I have been confirmed on the annual CIPA Paralegal conference in London this September, so a quick work trip down to that is something to look forward to. Excited to listen to all the speakers and different topics.
What have I been Reading
I hate to say I’ve not read much this month at all. I do have a book on my list that I need to buy as I’ve heard great things and that is The Secret. So hopefully next month I’ll be telling you all how its changed my outlook on life…
What have I been listening to
Nathan Carter is a new found love of mine. I heard about him a while ago and avoided the Hype buuuut when I heard he will be headlining Eilean Dorcha Festival (Dark Island Festival) which is back home. I thought I needed to give him a wee listen. Banks Of the Roses has been playing on repeat. That is all.
Annd also Sigrid Don’t Feel Like Crying. This song is unreal live. Sigrid was the opening act before Maroon 5 and she deffo gained a new fan.
Goals for July what I’m excited for
So ending this post looking to next month….
Most importantly July is my birthday month. So the best month…
Next weekend I have birthday celebrations planned. To try make the fact I’m hitting 25 a little bit better I have a group of my favourite people coming to Abz to help me celebrate. My mum and Dad are also visiting over the weekend to spend my birthday with me.
I’m also crazy excited because July marks my summer holiday back home. I am very ready for a 2 week break. First stop obv has to be Stornoway for Heb Celt suuuch a good line up and then heading down the road to spend time with my family and relax.
What have you been getting up to in June?
Until Next Time,
Shona Marie xo

This was a lovely post to read as it is so so nice to be able to see what people are up to and what they’ve been loving. It sounds like you’ve had a great and varied month! I would a LOVE to see Maroon 5 and I’ve already seen Sigrid as she was supporting George Ezra in March. I have had a busy month of finishing college, working and having me time really. I’ve also been working really hard on my blog and it’s contents since I had the entirety of May off for a break! I hope you reach all of your July goals and that July is a great month for you!
