As per usual, my lack of consistency with blog post strikes again.
But for very good reason, I’ve been back home to the Outer Hebrides for a huge occasion, my big sisters wedding!!
Anyways the first stop on my journey home was a trip to the most northern isle in the outer hebrides to attend HEB CELT. This is an annual music festival that is held in the castle grounds from Thursday-Sunday. It’s filled with fun, food and music. What more can you ask for. Its iconic setting also makes it – the castle in the background and overlooking the harbour.
This year I knew I had to return for the first time in four years as the line up in my opinion was perfection. Trail West, Tide Lines, Skipinnish, Deacon Blue and The Fratellis to name a few.
People gather from around the globe to attend this famous festival. This year BBCs The One Show even reported live from the Friday night of the festival giving it an even greater platform, which is well deserved.
I would so recommend this festival to anyone to enjoy the true Island experience.
Whats your favourite Festival that you have been to so far?
Until next time,
Shona Marie xo
